JOB POSTING: FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER

The City of Melrose, MN is seeking applications for a full-time Police Officer. Applicants must be POST licensed or POST eligible to be licensed by the time of appointment.

Melrose is located on the I-94 corridor with quick access to the St. Cloud, Alexandria, and the metro areas. There are a variety of outdoor options to offer with an extensive trail system, lakes, and hunting opportunities. Melrose offers exceptional public and private schools, as well as a medical clinic and hospital.

Applicants must be flexible to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Officers get every other weekend off, their own squad car, numerous training opportunities, uniforms provided, fully paid health insurance and up to $200 match for HSA. Officers are members of LELS union.

The 2025 salary range is $34.67 -$41.27 per hour DOQ.

Job Posting: Seasonal Temporary Water/Wastewater Worker

The City of Melrose, MN is accepting applications for a seasonal temporary Water/Wastewater Worker. The Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker performs maintenance and assists in the operations of the City’s Class D Water and Class A Wastewater Departments, including potable water system, wells, distribution system, wastewater collection system, Class A wastewater treatment facilities.

Desired qualifications include: general maintenance skills, general knowledge of water/wastewater operations, maintenance of equipment pump and motors, knowledge of grounds, buildings and vehicle maintenance, and ability to operate light equipment.

Education, licensing and certifications: High school diploma or GED. Maintenance experience preferred. Class D water/wastewater license preferred but not required.

Job Posting: Seasonal Temporary Streets & Parks Worker

The City of Melrose, MN is seeking a seasonal temporary Streets & Parks Worker for the summer of 2025.  Applicants must be able to operate lawn mowing equipment, perform grounds care of parks and campground, and perform miscellaneous work throughout the city.  Knowledge of proper use of tools and equipment used in parks or for building maintenance. A valid Minnesota Driver’s License is required. This position will be required to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, including some weekends.

Salary Range: $16.83 - $20.03 per hour. This position is not eligible for benefits.

City of Melrose Public Utilities is accepting applications for an Apprentice Line worker. The position performs skilled duties for the operation, construction, maintenance, repair of the electrical distribution, generation, metering, and SCADA systems.  

Qualifications include: Position requires a high school diploma or school anticipated diploma. Desired qualifications completion of an accredited line worker training program, and a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). 2025 Salary: $25.03 - $26.63 per hour.
